These tools give general information, not tax or accounting advice. Confirm the rules with the General Tax Authority or your accountant.

How to use it

  1. Enter the first and last day of work.
  2. Enter the monthly basic wage from the contract, without allowances.
  3. Read the estimate and the rule behind it. Confirm the final figure with the Ministry of Labour or your lawyer.

Common questions

Is gratuity worked out on the full salary?

No. It is based on the basic wage, the figure in the contract before allowances. Housing, transport and other allowances are not counted in this estimate.

Can I rely on this figure for a final settlement?

Treat it as an estimate. A contract or settlement agreement can be more generous than the law, and the rules are revised from time to time. Confirm the figure with the Ministry of Labour, your lawyer or your HR team before you pay or sign.
