Common questions
Which VAT rate does the calculator use?
It uses the standard rate of 5%, which applies to most supplies in Oman. Some supplies are taxed differently or not at all: check with the Oman Tax Authority or your accountant.
Why is the result rounded?
Money is counted in whole baisa, so every result is rounded to the nearest baisa. Your accountant can tell you whether your business rounds per line or per invoice; the rounding checker shows the difference.
